2025 civics test, for N-400 applications filed on or after October 20, 2025. Filed earlier? The 2008 test (100 questions, 6 of 10 to pass) is covered too.

Everything You Need to Walk In Ready

Flashcards teach you the questions. AccelaStudy® AI USA teaches you until you can't get them wrong.

Every Question, Both Tests

All 128 questions from the 2025 civics test and all 100 from the 2008 version — with the exact answers USCIS accepts, in the plain English the test uses.

Adaptive, Not Repetitive

The engine finds the questions you miss and drills exactly those — American history, branches of government, geography — until they stick.

Readiness You Can Trust

A real-time readiness score tells you when you'd pass a 20-question test today — and when you're truly interview-ready.

The Whole Journey, Not Just Civics

Eligibility rules, Form N-400, biometrics, the interview under oath, the decision, and the Oath of Allegiance ceremony — step by step.

English Test Practice

Reading and writing practice built from the official USCIS vocabulary lists, plus what the officer listens for in the speaking test.

Always-Current Officials

Questions about the current President, your senators, and your governor change with elections. We teach you how to find and verify today's answers — so you're never caught out.

Know Your Test

Which Civics Test Will You Take?

It depends on one thing: the date USCIS received your Form N-400. The course covers both versions completely — tell it your filing date and it studies you for the right one.

FILED ON/AFTER OCT 20, 2025

The 2025 Civics Test

  • 128 questions in the official study pool
  • The officer asks up to 20, out loud
  • Answer 12 correctly to pass — the test stops early at 12 right or 9 wrong
  • Heavier on history and government than the 2008 test
Filed before Oct 20, 2025

The 2008 Civics Test

  • 100 questions in the official study pool
  • The officer asks up to 10
  • Answer 6 correctly to pass
  • Still the test for hundreds of thousands of pending applications

Age-Based Accommodations, Built In

65 / 20

Age 65+ with 20+ years as a permanent resident? You study only the 20 starred questions and answer 6 of 10 to pass. The course has a dedicated 65/20 study mode.

50 / 20 & 55 / 15

Age 50+ with 20 years, or 55+ with 15 years as a permanent resident? You're exempt from the English test and may take the civics test in your own language with an interpreter.

Medical Exception

Form N-648 can waive the English test, the civics test, or both when a licensed doctor certifies a qualifying condition. The course explains how it works.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really free? What's the catch?
Really free, no catch. No credit card, no trial period, no locked features. AccelaStudy AI USA is the free member of the AccelaStudy AI family — the paid products (certifications, MCAT, LSAT, AP) fund the engine, and this course rides on it.
Is this an official USCIS product?
No. AccelaStudy AI USA is an independent study product from Renkara Media Group, Inc. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS, DHS, or any government agency. We link to the official USCIS study materials, and we verify our test facts against uscis.gov and the Federal Register.
Which test version will I study?
Both are included. If USCIS received your N-400 on or after October 20, 2025, you take the 2025 test (128 questions, up to 20 asked, 12 to pass). If you filed before that date, you take the 2008 test (100 questions, up to 10 asked, 6 to pass). Tell the course your filing date and it prepares you for the right one.
I qualify for the 65/20 special consideration. Does the course handle that?
Yes. If you are 65 or older and have been a permanent resident for 20 or more years, you study only the officially starred questions and answer 6 of 10 to pass. The course has a dedicated 65/20 mode with just those questions.
Will it be available in Spanish?
Sí — Spanish is the first translation we're building, and it matters: under the 50/20 and 55/15 rules, qualifying applicants take the actual civics test in their own language with an interpreter. Join the list and we'll tell you the moment Español is live.
Does the course cover the English test too?
Yes. The speaking test (how the officer evaluates your English during the interview), the reading test (read 1 of 3 sentences), and the writing test (write 1 of 3 sentences) — with practice built from the official USCIS reading and writing vocabulary lists.
What happens if I fail a portion of the test?
USCIS re-tests only the portion you failed, 60 to 90 days later. You get one retake before the application is denied. The course's readiness score exists so you never need that second chance.
Is this legal advice?
No. The course teaches the test and explains the process in plain language, but it is not legal advice. For case-specific questions — complicated trips abroad, arrests, tax issues — talk to an immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative.
